by Allison Pollack
Buckle your seatbelts – Oleg Veretskiy’s epic fantasy is moving up in the awards world! Earlier in August, Tales of the Wandering Mists was long-listed for Chanticleer’s OZMA Book Award in the Fantasy Fiction category last month. And just this morning, we discovered that the book has moved up again, this time to OZMA’S shortlist! This means that Tales of the Wandering Mists is now in the running to be considered as a semi-finalist. We’re moving on up!
The OZMA Book Awards recognize emerging new talent and outstanding works in the genres of magic, steampunk and fantasy fiction. The Ozma Awards is a genre division of Chanticleer International Book Awards and Novel Competitions (The CIBAs). These presigious awards recognize the best books delivering the magic, supernatural, imaginary worlds, fantastical creatures, legendary beasts, mythical beings, and flights of imagination that authors dream up in their amazing brains. Such an author is Oleg Veretskiy.
Receving an award like the OZMA, indeed even making the shortlist, is a huge boost for independent publishers and authors like Oleg, and it benefits readers who are bombarded with thousands of new books every year, by giving them a ready-made reading list in the genre of their choice.

This recognition for Tales of the Wandering Mists from the OZMA Awards has positively impacted its sales and expanded Oleg’s audience.
