With the Audiobook Kickstarter launch on Sept. 30 fast approaching, our team is in full-on preparation mode and getting psyched to present this project to the world!

Found Partners. Earlier this summer, we sent Oleg’s book to Pierce Press contacts Ryan & Aura Paige at Vermont-based Paige Vox Studios. They read it in one sitting, and immediately called with the idea for a full-cast, media-rich audiobook! After sharing their reaction to Oleg’s book and their passion for storytelling with us, Ryan & Aura present their detailed proposal. Our team unanimously agreed to partner with them to produce the audiobook of Tales of the Wandering Mists.

The Dazzling Duo. When we met with 🎙️Ryan and Aura, we felt something beyond a straight business relationship: a true kinship. They “got it.” We sensed that within their love of storytelling, we shared something more significant. We knew that Oleg’s story deserved more exposure, that it should become available to every kind of audience, and no one would do a better job giving it a voice, because they not only loved our story, but they understood its significance in our world today and its potential impact on readers of all ages.

Not Their First Rodeo. Ryan and Aura have produced more than 60 audiobooks since 2020, when they turned to full time production. They are thrilled to be producing Tales of the Wandering Mists as an Immersive Audiobook—a full-cast soundscape experience with music and professional voice talent. Not your average audiobook – and hence, the need for crowdfunding to pay for expenses like studio time, actors, marketing, and distribution.

Serendipitous Connections. Our team has come together in the most unexpected ways, and Ryan and Aura Paige are no exception. When this book project was first born, it started with our publisher, 📘Charlotte meeting ✍️Oleg on Twitter. The full-scale invasion had already begun and Oleg, like many Ukrainians, set aside his career to join grassroots efforts to help refugees fleeing occupation and the frontlines that threatened their cities and villages. Soon Charlotte introduced the project to 📝translator Marina, Oleg uploaded the manuscript and illustrations to our shared drive, and the project took off.

Creating A Family. Over the past two years, we have integrated more talent and passion into our diverse crew. We gained 🎨artist Dasha, who painted the book cover, giving us a window into the story that hints at the wonders awaiting within; free-spirited graphic designer Luis;🧚Fairy Book Mother Kelly, capable of knitting a thought, a sentence, or an idea together into the most charming presentation; 🔎editor-story architect Megan, who tends to the details of every individual character arc and scene with equal care; and intern-extraordinaire Victoria, who is as equipped with her 🖋️pen as she is with 📽️ video design and a grasp of the big picture. And now Ryan and Aura, and of course, Oleg’s large and growing band of readers and followers across the planet!
